Orange County Business Council (OCBC)
In providing a proactive forum for businesses, government and academia, OCBC and its newly formed Economic Development Committee, serves pro-business interests to promote economic development, countywide. The organization represents businesses with nearly 250,000 employees in Orange County and two million worldwide.

Orange County SCORE®
More than10,500 successful executives, located in 389 local chapters throughout the United States, volunteer to provide free, confidential business counseling and low cost workshops as a public service to all types of businesses, in all stages of development. Counseling is available in person, via email or, as an advisory board for existing businesses, and more than 90 workshop sessions are offered each year. In addition, SCORE provide access to a comprehensive business library of documents, templates, tools, and resource links on a wide range of subjects, including initial business planning, capital sources, operating statements, governmental agencies and more.

Center for Demographic Research (CDR)
A non-profit research center, focusing primarily on Orange County, CDR provides accurate and timely demographic information on population, housing and employment characteristics. The center is located at California State University, Fullerton.

Orange County Small Business Development Center (SBDC)
Recognized by the U.S. Small Business Administration as a Distinguished 2009 Center of Excellence, the Orange County SBDC provides no-charge, one-on-one business assistance and team business consulting. SBDC also offers seminars on such topics as Accessing to Capital, Quickbooks, Employment Law, Marketing, Government Contracting, Web Technology, and Writing a Business Plan. Seminars are taught by the center’s professional business consultants and industry experts.

California Chamber of Commerce
For more than 100 years, the California Chamber of Commerce has worked to give private-sector employers a voice in state politics, as well as provide them with a full range of California-specific products and services. California Economic Development Partnership
This interagency Cabinet team was established in November, 2005 to coordinate all of the state government economic development activities. The partnership brings together State Administration resources, in collaboration with regional and local economic development organizations and other public and private expert resources, to retain, expand and attract jobs in California.

California Labor & Workforce Development Agency
The agency’s mission is to provide leadership in order to protect and improve the well-being of California’s current and future workforce. Coordinating labor and employment programs for workers and businesses, the agency is working to ensure that businesses have the tools they need to successfully navigate through this difficult economy.
